Redmond Cleaners has been the Enviro-Friendly choice for drycleaning services since 1948.
Redmond Cleaners Inc. was founded in 1948 by Martin LaBerge as a dry cleaning company specializing in leather and fur. In 1948, while the dry cleaning industry was using perchloroethylene or perc, Marty used the dry cleaning solvent Stoddard, a petroleum based solvent which is much gentler on leather and fur. It also turned out to be much gentler on our environment as well.
In 1990, Albert Eng, owner of Seattle’s A-1 Laundry, bought Redmond Cleaners from Mr. LaBerge so he could offer exceptional dry cleaning services to his rapidly growing laundry business. In 1992, Al’s daughter Allison and her husband John Meany took over the operation at Redmond and they began to deliver their services to the area’s homes and businesses. To date, Redmond Cleaners has delivered their services to over 4000 different stops.
In the year 2000, in response to environmental concerns, Redmond Cleaners founded EnviroGreen Cleaning Systems. We are proud to be the industry’s standard, involving environmental issues.
